Seven sources across eight rows, five literatures, and nobody had put them in the same room.

The better answer needs time, and Beaty and Silvia measured it. Time needs to be survivable, and Baird shows what kind of gap does the work. Survivable needs holding, and Winnicott put holding in a person. Amabile shows the room changes the output, Kaufman and Beghetto show everyday creativity is where people live, and Edmondson shows safety helps and then stops short of explaining why safe teams still rush. Put them in one room and the missing piece is obvious. Holding has been put in a person, in a room and in a frame, and never in a form.

And none of that tells you how far in the thing being surfaced actually lives. Which is where the fandom work comes in, because the one thing it has always measured is depth. The Cone was never measuring fandom. It was measuring how deep a propensity sits, and fandom is simply where that becomes visible from outside. Depth of holding is depth of becoming. The form reaches down, the thing comes up, and they meet at whatever depth both can manage.

Because nobody stands in all five places. Creativity research, cognitive psychology, psychoanalysis, organisational behaviour and fan studies do not cite each other, and there is no reason they should. Practice does not respect disciplinary boundaries, so practice hit the whole thing. That is the argument, and it is why the convergences are evidence rather than embarrassment. Twenty five years of running one instrument across enough subjects is how the depth pattern showed, which makes it a practitioner finding rather than a proven result, and that is what I say.

Five literatures, not one of them citing another, and the mechanism only appears when you put them together. Nobody had, because nobody stands in all five places. Practice does. And I am that practitioner who did.
